It’s 100% okay to not be okay.
No one is ever ‘always okay,’ or always feeling great. Life is challenging, and that’s part of what makes life so amazing – but there are days where those challenges can be overwhelming… and sometimes, those days of feeling overwhelmed become weeks, even months, and now and again years.
Everyone experiences a bad mental health day (or twenty), but not everyone who has a bad mental health day (or month) has a clinical mental health condition.

Finding the right fit
People will often get a referral from a doctor or a health service directing them to a mental health practitioner (a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, or qualified counsellor), and they will think that they have to stick with that practitioner no matter the ‘fit.’
That’s not the case. The journey to reclaiming your wellbeing is done in partnership with other people – professionals, loved ones, friends, and sometimes even colleagues. You need to be comfortable with the people who are walking beside you.
